I've been looking for a video (or audio) interview with the (International) Noise Conspiracy with Ludwig on it (the ones I've found are with Dennis and Lars) for a quite a long time now, but I haven't been very successful. I was wondering if, by chance, any of you had any. Thanks in advance.

Have you guys heard 93 Million Miles? They consist of Dennis Lyxzen, Jon Brannstrom (from Refused, of course), Anders Johansson, and Jonas Ericksson. I guess they were only together for a short amount of time and only played a couple of shows, since their cd only has 5 songs on it... But I still think it's pretty good, and you guys should check it out...

This is taken from Interpunk's website:

"93 Million Miles From Sun played a mere handful of shows and recorded twice. The first time was in 1997 - two songs for the "Love Is A Dog From Hell" compilation cd [simba/blue eyes]. The second was early in 1998 for the 7" on Simba. Both had only 1000 pressed and are now collectors items. This is all five songs on one CDEP, finally back in press and ready to be part of the Refused legacy.

Like a well-planned assassination. Like cynanide coated candy, vicious and catchy, the harmonic sensibility of Burth Bacharach with the vocal intensity of Ian Mackaye. With Dennis going on to front world-reknown act - The(International) Noise Conspiracy this release clearly shows the stepping stones taken from Refused to INC. This CDEP is a vital part of Refused's eclectic history and is long-overdue in coming out. This reissue of the 7" along with the bonus tracks from the compilation cd has all new artwork with photos by final Refused bassist Ulf Nyberg. The Refused family... as incestuous as can be, but my oh my, they produced, and continue to create, some wonderful music..."

Just thought I would share this with you guys....

The (International) Noise Conspiracy at Warped 8/19 [21 Aug 2004|10:11pm]

[ mood | energetic ]

The (International) Noise Conspiracy put on one of the best shows I have ever seen at Warped this past Thursday! They had so much energy! Did anyone else go see it?

During "Capitalism Stole My Virginity", Dennis jumped into the audience, and was singing along with the fans. He saw that I was singing, and pulled me close to the microphone, and we sang it together. It was one of the coolest things that I have ever done.

I also got my pic taken with him afterwards at their cd signing. Here it is:

Yeah, as you can see, I am happy as hell, and my hair is fading, and I'm wearing my Refused shirt. It was badass.

Rather Be Dead [04 Jul 2004|11:31am]

[ mood | accomplished ]

I can't believe there is no mention of the remastered Refused albums here. They are the shit! I have only bought the E.P. and To Fan the Flames of Discontent so far, but the fuckin rule. Rather Be Dead is on both of those and that song is amazing. I wish these guys were still perfoming <3.
Also, I cannot wait until the DVD comes out.

some people are too funny... [03 Apr 2004|11:02pm]

Under the fan review section of the re-release for "The Shape of Punk to Come" somebody called Refused "emo".

Not that there's anything wrong emo, but where on earth does that label come into play, especially considering the manic pace of albums prior to this, and the hard-driving riffs and experimental aspects of the Shape of Punk to come.

and now I must go off topic for a second with an editorial. So if you don't care, stop reading now:

Emo bashing is all too common practice these days. Before you dismiss emo, ask yourself, have you heard everything from Rites of Spring to The Gloria Record? If you have, and you still think emo sucks, then by all means, voice that educated opinion, however if your knowledge isn't as vast as that, then please, either put up or shut up.

another complaint is that emo is "too weak". Really? Cursive rocks out harder than most punk bands these days. Desaparacidos creates that frightening sound that bands like the Exploited and The Unseen always talk about.

I grew up in Boston going to see bands like The Unseen, Toxic Narcotic, Pinkerton Thugs, and so on, from about the time when I was ten to about 18. I was in a scene where anything but punk rock was immediatley shunned. Over that time period, I broke away from the scene and began to realize that all this emo-bashing was quite unjustified and eventually I began to like it.

emo, like every kind of music has some great bands, but a lot of bad ones too. the point here is, don't shut your mind to music. You never know what you're missing.

March 20th is the day we began our war in Iraq. People will be taking to the streets to protest, I advise you do to.

(sorry if this is off-topic...I'll make it on topic)

...has anybody seen the track listing for the Epitaph re-release of "Songs to Fan The Flames of Discontent"? It's pretty much all wrong. Even victory didn't get it right on their web site.

But, uh...I'm not complaining about a Refused DVD.
